Yea! A Shopping Day!

We finally got home from Enid tonight. I am glad to be home, but it was so good to see my younger sister and my nephew this weekend. I love being able to spend quality time with my family.

Another great thing about going to visit my sister in Enid, is the fact that Enid has so much more to choose from in the way of shopping and eating out. We have actually considered moving there a couple times. Enid has the small town feel and charm, but it has all the convenience of a small city. I don’t remember if they have a Target or not, but if they don’t that would be the only thing lacking for me. Every time we go there I try to get a trip in to the Hobby Lobby, Hastings and/or the Ross. We do not have any of those three stores in Elk City. I see that we are slowly growing in Elk City, we steadily have been getting more hotels and restaurants, but I really would like more choices to choose from as far as shopping goes.

Well, this weekend I was going to try to get into Ross and then Hobby Lobby. I needed more clothes to wear to church and I also wanted to get more of my arts and crafts supplies. Especially since I have added sewing and quilting to my long list of artsy fartsy stuff I do. I went into Ross first, because church clothes were a definite need where as my sister gave me a box full of fabric again. I ended up spending my hobby lobby budget in Ross as well. I got three dresses and I had a hard time choosing between them. One dress was a certain pick, it looked good on me and was marked down to three dollars! Out of the other two dresses I got, only one of them was on clearance for 11 dollars. I had to have it though, it is a black dress, and every woman needs a great black dress in her closet. The other dress was originally an 80 dollar dress buying it in the department store, but at Ross it was only 22. It was a beautiful dress with soft white fabric with a black lace flower print over laid on it.

Ty let me get all three if I decided not to go to Hobby Lobby. It was a hard decision, but I agreed. The dresses were needs and the crafting supplies are not. I still have plenty to work with at home!
