Tonight we went to Enid to visit my sister Kim and her fiancee JR. When we got there last night we had a huge surprise, my sister had my nephew Ben with her. The good news is that he is finally home for good! The even better news is that the transition went well without causing drama in our family! Kim had her son young and had a hard time adjusting to being a parent at such a young age, so he spent a lot of his 8 years with my mom and step-dad Now he is home for good! I am so proud of my sister, she has spent a lot of time turning into a responsible yet still awesome adult.
Well, we dropped David off to go with his dad in Woodward, and then we went from Woodward over to Enid. My sister and I planned this trip around New Years, after we had our family’s holiday get together. She wanted a full size bed, at the time I didn’t know that she wanted it for Ben, and in exchange for the full size bed she gave us bunk beds. The full size bed is no big loss for us, we had two of them and a roll away bed that is about a full size as well all jammed into the kids’ bedroom. So there really was next to no space for the kids to play in their room. My sister suggested the trade while we were at our sister Stephanie’s house because we were talking about the lack of space in my home.
I am so glad she did too, because I have been about to pull my hair out trying to go through stuff and organize and get rid of things we don’t need. The weather has been getting warmer lately, I am sure Spring is either here or almost here. Soon I plan on having a yard sale to rid myself of a lot of the things that make my house look cluttered and unorganized.
